checking for mutexes... POSIX/pthreads/library
is the good one afaik.

nptl-devel - looks like some very ancient Linux distribution. Starting from
glibc 2.4 there is no other option than NPTL (linuxthreads not even
supported).

2.6.16 actually. 2.6.17 works fine.
So my problem is kernel related problem only.
