I'm trying to get on the devtool bandwagon with a variation of the
standalone target for my own nefarious purposes.  Would there be any
objection to a patch like the attached that splits out all of the
dependency software version and dist information so that it doesn't
need to be duplicated in my own target?  Please excuse the poor naming
of the proposed target, I suck at picking that kind of thing.
