Yeah, finally rpmdeps works. I found that I *had* a libelf library installed,
but it was libelf-0.8.9, not the version from RedHat's elfutils package. RPM
didn't link against my version, so I replaced it, and now it works. Thanks

I'm using glibc-2.4 here. It's time for another upgrade of some base packages
anyways (kernel-headers, glibc), and two and a half month of spare time just
began, so there's plenty of time to do this. :-)
