Something else is broken, likely a "-I../db3" being missed someplace,
possibly because of an implicit linkage.

This query
	rpm -q --filerequire rpm | grep libdb-4.5.so
will identify the culprit(s) (unless you have added AutoReqProv: no
to rpm.spec)

BTW, this is true too, BerkeleyDB is already doing partial static  
quite elegantly imho.
