Exactly, that's the traditional approach. It just gets a bit more  
complicated with the tree I'm trying to use RPM to manage. Not  
impossible, just more complicated.

I greatly appreciate the input from this list. It's given me issues  
and solutions to consider that I had not yet looked at.
