Sqlite has _NEVER_ been "supported" if you read through RPM history
carefully. Sure "works", and yes there are usage cases, "supported"
is something else entirely.

And one goal of the change is to rework an rpmdb so that SQL might become useful.

Look at the current rpmdb sqlite schema, try to devise some useful
SQL statement from an interactive /usr/bin/sqlite3, and I believe
you will discover how useless the existing sqlite3 schema actually is.
