Sorry I missed this, my SPAM filters are quite aggressive.

I talked about "Transactionally Protected Package Management" at FOSDEM 2010.

The first release of the rpm-5.3.0 code was May 1st.

Lease note that rpm-5.3.0 is not a "drop-in" replacement for previous
releases. There are too many changes tied to TPPM and "RPM ACID"
for "drop-in" compatibility. Meanwhile there is a great deal of
compatibility still present in rpm-5.3.x and converting from previous
releases is quite feasible. Just that rpm-5.3.x is NOT "drop-in" and
I have no intent or desire for "compatibility" -- "conversion" not "compatibility"
was the chosen upgrade path.

Since May I've been doing essentially monthly releases (I missed August
because busy). And I am hoping to continue monthly time-based releases.

So rpm-5.3.3 is at http://rpm5.org/rpm/rpm-5.3/SNAPSHOT now and
will be "officially" releasd on 9/1/2010.

A rpm-5.3.4 release will occur on 10/1/2010. I'm perhaps 20% of the way
through the target feature set already.

See CHANGES in some rpm-X.Y tarball for what is implemented in each release,.

Ask if you need a more complete description.
