Actually the standalone "%freebsd" target that re-invokes devtool
is more likely to have bit rot than building from a cvs checkout and using
which was running under buildbot's more recently than whatever
is in FreeBSD ports.
And the "%fbsd8x" target removes a level of recursion that is
quite tricky to explain and "support" imho.

has made RPM nearly impossible to build reliably anywhere, not otherwise.
