How hard is it to add "built-in support" for *.src.rpm in port using tcl?

Note that I'm quite close to considering loading port(1) as tcl
module(s) just to try-and-see.

I'm still quite fond of Landon's "language neutral" Portfiles
syntax even if details matter (and there's some deep flaws
with port variants).

And if Henri is serious about an RPM based distribution (I am)
then hijacking the existing recipes exactly as is from MacPorts
makes faster progress than any other approach I can think of.

Make sense?
